STORYTELLING “The Line - STORIES FROM PALESTINE"

In 2012 an international artist's workshop was supposed to be held in Ramallah, Palestine. However, due to Israel denying visas for participants from Arab countries, the workshop was cancelled. Alicja Dobrucka and Torgrim Mellum Stene, a performance storyteller and writer from Norway, decided to go anyway and became friends while travelling the West Bank together. While Alicja was photographing, Torgrim was telling and being told to.

In connection with Alicja's exhibition, Torgrim will share stories from their experiences, from the people they met, from the legends of the soil and the longings of the soul. Tales on the borderline between reality and fiction, freedom and occupation, hatred and love. How does art express itself when surrounded by walls?
