Dorota Buczkowska is a multidisciplinary artist, using painting, drawing, photography and sculpture in her practice. She deals with subjects related to the perception of reality and with processes connected to time and matter qualities, which she depicts in a metaphorical way, sometimes tinged with poetic subtlety.
The exhibition at Rodriguez Gallery will show her latest series of paintings, done during the last few years, in which Buczkowska focuses her artistic research on colour, gesture, light and matter. The artist creates multilayered stories about her intimate world, which could be extrapolated to universal norms. Everything flows in a continuous and mysterious transformation, revealing the supremacy of the intuition and the spontaneous creation.
