Natalia Bażowska (1980, Katowice, Poland)
Bażowska’s object of fascination is man, his psyche and physiology. At the same time observations of animal behavior in their natural environment combined with medical knowledge allow her the discovery of similarities between the human and animal world.
"Through creating, I communicate with the outside world. I am fascinated by life in its various aspects, focusing with equal interest on its psychological and physiological dimension. The world around me is my biggest inspiration, I translate emotions and interpersonal relations into my own artistic language. Drawing on biological similarities I treat the relationships occurring in the human and animal worlds as parallel. Working with subconsciousness I try to reconstruct the most secret values and principles governing our lives. Despite various artistic forms and means of expression, my art retains its integrity as it is created according to the same artistic idea." N. Bażowska
