CLOSER THAN YOU THINK
Wystawa witrynowa
7.07–28.08.2026

The exhibition is on view every day, 24/7, and can be experienced from the street.

The installation focuses on the relationship between perception, space, and human presence. It stems from a reflection on how a seemingly stable surface can undergo visual transformation, altering the way it is perceived. A key moment occurs when the plane ceases to function as a static form and begins to acquire the qualities of a spatial, organic, and almost bodily object. Colour plays a significant role, referring on one hand to intimacy, delicacy, and sensitivity, while on the other evoking associations with artificiality, illusion, and visual exaggeration. Its variability under changing light conditions emphasizes the ambiguity of vision and undermines the stability of what appears to be obvious. The relationship between the human and the object also becomes crucial, as this contact remains incomplete. The gallery window separating the viewer from the work creates a physical boundary that prevents direct encounter, leaving only a relation based on mutual influence, observation, and tension. A paradoxical situation of proximity emerges—the object appears to respond to human presence, as if attempting to establish contact, while simultaneously remaining entirely isolated within its own space.
